We’re introducing our new  1:1 CBN:THC MCT Tincture for patients seeking the unique benefits of CBG and CBN. We make these products using the same process as our other ratio-formulated MCT Tincture products, like our 25:1 CBD:THC MCT Tincture. We source high quality isolates of CBG and CBN and pair each with our high quality in-house THC concentrate and organic MCT oil. 

This products contain 10mg THC per 0.5mL dose for a total of 350mg of THC and 10mg CBN per dose for a total of 350mg of CBN. Please see the dosing label for exact cannabinoid concentrations.

ORIGIN
Our goal in creating these products is to provide our patients with access to a line of diverse cannabinoid products that meet their specific relief and wellness needs with targeted, adjustable effects. These products are unique because they offer CBG and CBN in higher concentrations than are normally available in flower and single source extraction products.

BENEFITS
Cannabigerol (CBG) is the precursor to most major cannabinoids found in cannabis.  Limited studies have revealed anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, and pain-relieving properties. Our internal testers found this product to be helpful for pain relief, gastrointestinal issues, and inflammation; suitable for day or night use. 

Cannabinol (CBN) is another cannabinoid that is believed to have anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and sedative properties.  Preliminary studies have shown CBN to be promising for treatment of glaucoma (1).  Our internal testers found this product to be helpful for insomnia, muscle tension, anxiety/stress, and pain, and more suitable for nighttime use.

SYNERGISTIC EFFECTS
These concentrations of CBG and CBN are being offered in combination with THC because even in trace amounts, the combination of cannabinoids can produce a more effective response for patients' symptom relief. This is commonly referred to as the “Entourage Effect.”

Bred by the Boston Roots Seed Co., it combines the “Larry Bird” cut of Gelato (Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint GSC) with a Headbanger OG (Sour Diesel x Biker Kush) male. The results create a topshelf cannabis variety that we’re proud to add to the Breakwater collection.

When we decide to grow a strain, we first narrow down our options through our phenotype selection process, and this particular plant stood out with its robust growth and impressive vertical reach. It was easy to tell that this specific pheno had the vigor and stamina to earn its place in the Breakwater lineup. 

As flowering progressed and this strain’s buds began to swell, shades of green shifted to hues of dark purple, stigmas grew thick, and a sweet skunky smell with hints of fuel and earth began waft through the air. While some terpenes are extremely volatile and gas off easily, the terpenes associated with Gelato 33 x Headbanger remain intense from the living plant all the way through to the cured flower. Expect a versatile mood elevating and creative effect that can be used adaptively to wind down at the end of a long day or jump start a new day’s tasks.

While hunting Rubbermint Gum, we were calling the phenos Rubbermints. The name stuck and we asked Yin Yang Seeds if we could use the shorthand name for our selection. They agreed. Our phenotype has a distinct, fresh tennis ball aroma and although our selection’s characteristics don’t exactly match with its name, it is a joy to consume. Notes of pine, citrus and mild skunk with some mint flavor may be detectable in this flower.

We have selected phenotype #55 from our test plants of Ghost Train Haze #1. Bred by Rare Dankness out of Colorado, GTH is founded upon the base of the Original Ghost OG crossed with Nevil’s Wreck.

The result is a cultivar with strong growth, large flowers, and sugary trichomes ripe for separation (hint hint). The aromatic influence of Ghost OG plays well with the unmistakable hazy fragrance, adding a slight citrus and mild pine. Expect an increase in energy and extreme focus. However, the somewhat common jitteriness associated with haze varieties is all but lost on this pheno, with the Ghost OG influence squashing it out.

ORIGIN
Our goal in the creation of this product is to provide our patients with increased access to high quality, high CBD products. We take great care to create products that meet the needs of medical patients. This product is meant for patients that are seeking the effects of a higher dose of CBD and a low dose of THC. Additionally, both this product and the 5:1 CBD:THC MCT Oil can be a great choice for anyone who is new to cannabis and looking to start off with low concentrations of THC that will not be overwhelming.

EFFECTS
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a great anti-inflammatory cannabinoid that can provide potential relief for symptoms like pain, inflammation, muscle spasms/tension, migraines, and anxiety. Patients can expect the CBD effects of the 25:1 ratio to be significantly increased, as the CBD dose in this product is five times that of the 5:1 ratio. The euphoric effects can be expected to be comparable to the 5:1 CBD:THC MCT Oil, with the THC dose remaining the same. However, keep in mind that the increase in CBD may effect the user’s experience of THC effects.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The reason that this is not an exclusively CBD product is that we have found that CBD in combination with THC, even in trace amounts, can produce a more effective response for patients' symptom relief. This is sometimes referred to as the “Entourage Effect.” While our higher THC MCT Oils are equivalent to 3.5 grams on a patient’s allotment, the purchase of this product will only remove 1 gram from an allotment, due to the decreased amount of THC.
